When it comes to the warehousing and manufacturing businesses, the forklift usage all over the world has continued to grow. The lift truck is a powered truck made specially for lifting and transporting objects. The machine has gradually evolved and these days there are lots of modern designs for raising and moving things. Over the past decades, the machinery has significantly grown and the designs have changed so there are various trucks and many modern designs to meet each specific application. Loads are capable of reaching and lifting to greater heights than ever before.

The lift truck is offered in a wide variety of power types like diesel, gas powered, electric, diesel and liquid propane or LP models. The load capacities of these units vary greatly since there are numerous manufacturers that build and design them. Like for instance, several units are able to reach a height of over 10,000 kg or over 3000.

The forklift truck features consist of an overhead guard, mast and axles, the counterweight, and the truck frame to which the base of the power source and all aforementioned items are attached. On the back side there is a counterweight connected to the truck. This counterweight counterbalances the load which is being lifted so as to keep the machine stable.

The operator sits inside a cab and utilizes the controls to dictate the equipment's movements. The overhead is one more feature, which is a metal roof in order to protect the operator from falling things. Hydraulic tilt cylinders mounted to the mast and the frame. These tilts turn the mast so as to engage the load. The mast is a vertical assembly that lifts and lowers the load with the interlocking rails to provide lateral stability.

There are numerous warehouses or businesses in the manufacturing fields that use forklifts for lifting and transportation every day. Today, there are many different brand new and used forklifts available in the market at competitive prices. Those who rely on occasional lifting and transportation could utilize rental forklifts as they are available as well.
