Designed for Safety
Yale has a great history for providing safe lift trucks which are suitable for a variety of uses. The ability to engineer and make units for better safety comes from the new technology that is available in the company's experience and the material handling business.
Yale likes to integrate new technology which is available into their newest designs. Some of the new technologies that are on the market are first applied to forklift trucks and after that proven further through functionality and durability testing. The company conducts various reliability development and controlled field tests so as to ensure their products are very safe.
In order to improve overall safety, Yale has designed and developed many new features, that have been integrated on lots of models including:
Operator Compartment Controls and Ergonomics
The ergonomics in the operator compartment as well as the controls are made with state-of-the-art technology. These designs help to ensure that the operator avoids heavy repetitive motions and exhaustion. These added comforts help to increase overall production.
Adjustable Operators Compartment and Controls
Adjustable operator controls allow the operators to choose the positioning of their necessary controls. This helps make the machine user friendly, regardless of who is utilizing it. Prior to starting their shift, the operator could make certain she or he is as comfortable as possible.
Operator Presence System
Yale's hydraulic system operation known as the Operator Presence System prevents the operation of the machinery if the operator is not in the correct operating position. This presence system also disables directional travel on trucks that have internal combustion engines.
Swing-Out LPG Tank Bracket
The liquid propane gas tank has a drop down design which brings it out from the center of the vehicle to the operator's natural handling position that makes it far easier to change.
