The S-boom telescopic booms manufactured by Genie have been outfitted with an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access tight areas during construction and industrial jobs. They are also known for their ability to rapidly maneuver through a job site with great traction and drive speed. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables offer quick, easy positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 unit comes outfitted with a Jib-Extend, that is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This particular model can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks that were previously inaccessible by traditional jibs. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This feature allows over and up reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
Genie also provides the Fast Mast system which allows for precious time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be raised fully simultaneously. Both of Genie Fast Mast System's features lessens the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing productivity and effectiveness.
