The Carriage
The carriage is like a typical lift truck as the lifting attachment could be tilted forwards and backwards from its horizontal. The tilt that is possible on this machine exceeds more than that of the vertical masts. There is a huge range of lifting attachments offered, and this positioning ability makes them as effective as possible.
Nearly all telehandlers are capable of tilting forward to a point where the carriage is actually parallel with the ground believe it or not! In addition, lots of models provide rotating carriages as well. This enables the operator to radially adjust the lifting attachment. This translates to the load being able of being tilted backwards and forwards, as well as side to side.
Load Capacity
Telehandlers have a load capacity rather similar to that of the vertical mast unit. The unit's overall capacity will be dependent on things like: the amount of boom transaction deployed, if this is applicable and boom extension and angle, whether the unit is lifting on rubber tires or on outriggers. What's more, which lifting attachment plays an important part, as does the wind, the grade the equipment is operating on and so forth. All of these specifics could be changing on a regular basis and this gives the operator much more information to think about.
Normally, telehandlers have several load charts available in order for the operator to reference so they can determine the load capacity of a particular lift. Depending upon the configuration of the boom and the model in particular, the load capacity can vary by thousands of pounds all together.
