Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Back-Up or Motion Alarms:
The audible devices such as motion alarms or back-up alarms generate sound that needs to be really loud to be heard above the sound which the forklift creates in the operating area.
The sound generated by the audio device must be discernible from other audible devices or noises from the work environment. The sound must also be different from the other noise or audible devices within the work area. The audible device could end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; thus, care should be taken.
Hearing protection makes it trickier to hear the audible device and to determine what direction and distance it is coming from. Audible devices can occasionally get disabled from both operators and workers since they could find them annoying. As well, audible devices may also be objectionable to nearby residents.
Additional Operator & Application Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: To protect the operator from the elements, enclosed operator cabs made of tempered glass are utilized to help prevent injuries and reduce other problems. Moreover, these cabs feature an emergency exit via window removal. Noise levels are reduced at the operator's ear due to additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: The operator is able to choose the performance requirement for the particular application. Also, it allows a supervisor to set the unit's utmost performance for an operator who is just learning. Being able to lessen and adjust the maximum performance of the unit allows a new operator to learn the operating features of the equipment in a controlled environment.
Impact Monitor: When the impact monitor is disabled, a supervisor is needed to enable and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the machine in a more controlled way.
Panoramic and Dual Rear View Mirrors: These mirrors serve as an aid to the operator in observing the tail swing area, as well as the operating environment behind the truck.
