Kinds of Hydraulic Cranes
Hydraulic cranes are amongst the most commonly used types of crane within the construction industry. They are utilized to construct everything from skyscrapers and buildings to freeway overpasses and roadways.

Cranes come in a wide range of models, styles and sizes. These various units enable the operators and owners to perform many more functions in their industry. Choosing the right type of crane is very crucial for making sure that the material could be efficiently and safely moved to the place it needs to get to in order for the construction process to begin.

Truck Cranes
Truck cranes will normally have 2 different cabs. One cab is used to drive the truck unit when in transport mode, while the other is for controlling the crane. These cranes are extremely useful for building sites where a crane is needed in numerous different locations for the duration of the build. This is because of the fact that the crane is capable of being driven easily from one location to another.

Cranes can also be transported to various construction locations on the road because they drive themselves, that eliminates the need for extra transport vehicles. Being able to travel on their own really lessens transport costs at the end of the day.

One disadvantage of a truck crane is that it is not stable enough sitting on tires alone in order to be able to lift the major loads that a hydraulic crane can handle. Hence, in order to fix this issue, outriggers can be extended from the deck. The outriggers use hydraulic pressure in order to slightly lift the truck off of the ground, making it stable and balanced.

Crawler-Mounted Cranes
The crawler crane is unique in that it has big tracks on the base of the crane. These huge tracks are really similar to bulldozers and backhoes. The tracks enable the crane to move around a construction locations successfully.
