The Combilift company was founded by two great engineers, Robert Moffett and Martin McVicar. Between them, they had more than four decades of engineering experience when they founded the company in the year 1998 in Monaghan, Ireland. In just more than a decade, Combilift became a leader within the long handling market all over the world, delivering machinery to over 50 markets worldwide. Supported by a trusted international network of distributors that have assisted expand distribution into many markets around the world and utilizing their extensive knowledge and experience, McVicar and Moffett have built products which are in high demand and had sold 10,000 units by mid 2009.

C-Series Combilifts are available in an array of mast options. Lift heights as much as nine meters and lift capacities as much as 25,000 kilograms are available. Available engines are in gas or LPG, diesel, and electric or battery and the C-Series Combilifts could work within guided aisles as narrow as 210 centimetres wide.
The Combilift Straddle Carriers can carry fully loaded containers which can weigh up to 35 tons.
