Carelift Zoom Boom North Carolina

Carelift Zoom Boom North Carolina

CareLift Equipment has been engineering and making excellent rough terrain forklifts since the year 1962. Each day the company strives to deliver value and help their customers reach their objectives since they know the bottom line is performance and dependability.

Boom lifts come in 2 general kinds, the straight boom lift and articulated boom lift. These models are usually powered hydraulically. Most commonly straight booms are the great option for jobs which require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machine can rotate three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be raised vertically to below horizontal. As the operator is able to maneuver and steer the vehicle while the boom is completely extended, it is a very versatile machinery. These units are available in propane, gas or diesel configurations as well as 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive.

The articulated boom lifts are utilized for tasks which need to reach up and over obstacles so as to gain access. These specialized lifts are used for tasks which are not easily carried out by straight telescopic booms. These lifts are almost identical to the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily within the work site.

Several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers so as to maintain stability while the boom lift is fully extended. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Correct training is necessary before operating boom lifts in order to guarantee the jobsite, the operator and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.

The boom lift allows for jobs needing a lot of man hours to be completed in a lot less time. These equipment have revolutionized the material handling business and have greatly increased production.
